Hep B Free Philadelphia and Hepatitis B Foundation invite you to participate in the fun and exciting “Where is the Hep B Hero?” Sweepstakes!

Every week, three photos will be posted HERE on this page. Each photo will feature the Hep B Hero at an undisclosed location in Philadelphia. Enter your answers along with contact information through our Facebook page, and you’ll have a chance to win a $20 gift certificate!

Didn’t win anything the first week? No problem! The sweepstake will run for 5 weeks. That’s FIVE chances to play and win the prizes! Since the opportunity to win is plentiful, tell your friends about it, too!

Hepatitis B is a serious infection that affects about 2 million people in the United States. About 1 in 10 Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders are chronically infected—with African immigrants approaching a similar ratio as well. About 1 in 4 of the chronically infected individuals will die of liver cancer or cirrhosis.

Many infected individuals are not aware of their status because hepatitis B usually doesn’t produce symptoms for decades, and when the symptoms start showing it is often too late for treatment—it is a silent killer!
